The Moncton Flea Market has been operating in Moncton for over 35 years. The first ever Moncton Flea Market was held in 1972 at the Lions Senior Citizens Center on Saint George Street. Some of our other locations included the Riverview Mall, Highfield Square, Moncton Mall (Now Northwest Center), K-Mart Plaza, and many other rented spaces.
The Moncton Flea Market is sometimes referred to as the "Carson's Flea Market" because it was originally started by Georgia & Dave Carson and family in 1972. Dave has been a collector of coins, carnival glass, and antiques for over 50 years, and it was his passion for collecting that brought him to bring a flea market to Moncton.
In 2006, Carson's Antiques and Collectables Inc. bought a 10,000 sq/ft building in the Caledonia Industrial Park in Moncton's East end, and opened a weekly Sunday flea market. The Moncton Flea Market is now known as Moncton's first permanent flea market and attracts sellers from all over Atlantic Canada and buyers from all over North America.
Because of the Carson's network of Sellers and experience with collectable's, the Moncton Flea Market has risen to be known as the "Biggest & Best" permanent weekly market in Atlantic Canada!
